Exterior Design: Blending Aesthetics with Functionality
The exterior of the house has been thoughtfully designed to blend traditional Kerala elements with modern construction techniques. The sit-out area features a sloped roof paved with GI trusses and clay tiles, giving it a rustic, charming look while also protecting it from Kerala’s monsoon rains. The car porch, built using aluminium roofing sheets, offers a practical and cost-effective solution for vehicle storage.
By opting for aluminium roofing and GI trusses, the homeowners were able to achieve a durable and weather-resistant roof that’s affordable and low-maintenance. This choice also helped keep the construction within the budget of 10 lakhs without compromising on the aesthetics.
Simple and Elegant Interiors
The living cum dining area is designed as a multi functional space where the family can relax, dine, and entertain guests. Though the house is compact, clever interior design choices ensure that the space doesn’t feel cramped.
- The bedrooms are kept minimalistic, with attached bathrooms that offer convenience and privacy.
- The kitchen is designed for efficiency, with adequate storage and modern facilities to meet the needs of the household.
- The work area outside the kitchen is perfect for doing laundry or other household chores without crowding the main kitchen space.
Compact Kitchen with Adequate Facilities
One of the standout features of this house is its compact kitchen. Though small, it’s fully functional with plenty of storage space, a cooking area, and all the essentials for day-to-day use. The work area adjacent to the kitchen extends the utility of this space, making it easier for the family to manage their household chores efficiently.
The combination of simplicity, functionality, and elegance in the kitchen design ensures that the homeowners don’t feel like they are sacrificing comfort for the sake of staying within budget.
